Railways provide more facilities rather than roads transports.
For this reason, some people believe that governments should build more railways or they need to improve existing railways. Others argue governments most need to spend money on improving roads. This essay will discuss both views and give my opinion below.
On the one hand, it is understandable if some people think that a government should expand more railroads rather than roads or streets. Firstly, it is obvious that when a country has extensive rail networks, it will positively affect the logistic cost. The selling price of many goods would be cheaper since a single locomotive can carry tonnes of crops, products or liquor. Secondly, by building railway roads everywhere in the country as well as city areas, traffic congestion could be avoided. For example, Singapore has a very good train network, most of the people prefer to use railways, and they rarely drive their own vehicles. As a result, Singapore is free from traffic congestion and air pollution.
On the other hand, it is also important for a government to have some chance to study the geographical condition of an area before they plan to improve railways. It is a fact that some areas might not be the potential for railways, as those areas might be mountains. Such areas road transportation mostly need, and government should building those areas roads why they can easily carry their products, crops and also human.
In Conclusion, every individual government should improve their railways but the government also need thinking about roads because such areas people can easily be connected with the city. And also it is my own opinion.
